Hiya Group.
Well, Its been a year since I found this Treasure Trove of GD shows. Only recently did I get on the bus but I am surely enjoying the ride. Seems I found myself stuck in the 70's in my listening habits so I branched into a new decade and sampled 1980 and low and behold there is a months worth of acoustic 1st sets that end the year. I love those sets tremendously and wondered where else through the years the guys unplugged and had runs of acoustic sets? Lum

except for a small handful of events not billed as the Grateful Dead but rather Jerry and freinds or Phil or Bobby or whatever( like 9/24/94 and some early 80's benefits with Joan Baez and the like ), the only other unplugged besides 1980 will be the 1970 mammoth 3 set shows they did with NRPS having a set too ( can you imagine? ). There's also a few 69 shows where I beleive they threw in a little acoustic as well.

There was a thread here not long ago covering several acoustic shows. Scroll down furtherm maybe even the next page. Won't find many left to download, but will give you a heads up for shows to look for or trade for.

Yeah, there is a good bunch of info on the next page of this forum. Go to the bottom here, click more, and look about half way down under Acoustic Sets.

Wouldn't it be nice if someone who has some spare time (laughing!) could compile a list of all the dates where the Dead played acoustically or an acoustic set? Hint, hint ...

Arbuthnot -

Entering "acoustic" into the setlist contains box on Deadbase returns 69 entries - I'd imagine that's most of 'em.

MANY MANY THANKS John and Arbuthnot. Thats saves me alot of seeking. My 3 year old granddaughter spent last night here dancing to Acoustic Dead. She really likes Monkey and the Engineer. Her Mom is a Rap fan so I need to broaden my granddaughters musical listening.
